Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The Cryptologic Instructor (Networks) shall analyze customer requirements, available training methods and material, and facilities to design the required curriculum for classroom instruction.
- The Cryptologic Instructor (Networks) shall provide classroom instruction that teaches assigned students in the manner described in the course textbooks and materials.
- The Cryptologic Instructor (Networks) shall manage the instructional content for the assigned topic area.
- The Cryptologic Instructor (Networks) shall develop, and deliver new content and make recommendations for revisions of existing topic area content that is covered by this contract.
- The Cryptologic Instructor (Networks) shall conduct practical exercise in a laboratory environment, conduct student study hall periods and provide tutoring/remedial instruction.
Skill Level 2: The Level 2 Cryptologic Instructor (Networks) shall be able to perform the following tasks:

- Provide technical area expertise to advise on the development of training material to meet the Networks topic area objectives
- Develop Networks topic area training material to meet Government identified training standards
- Ensure Networks topic area training material is integrated and supports related topic area training materials
- Conduct content review based on student evaluations and provide recommendations for training material revisions
- Conduct periodic course content review and provide recommendations for training material revisions
- Perform task and skill analysis of training requirements to develop learning objectives within training materials
- Interact with training developers, curriculum managers and mission customers to assist with design and implementation of a total training package
- Coordinate with ADET to incorporate training into the NCS curriculum as required
- Incorporate knowledge of Network vulnerabilities into training materials
- Incorporate the impact of changing Network technologies into training materials
- Assess student knowledge, skills and abilities to gauge student proficiency in topic area
- Apply industry best practices in adult learning principles and theories
- Deliver instruction via interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning activities
- Review and analyze training materials and recommend changes
- Conduct courses relevant to the assigned topic area

Qualifications:

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: None
- Clearance Level To Obtain: Secret

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Level 2 Qualifications: The Level 2 Cryptologic Instructor (Networks) shall have:

- A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a directly related field and four (4) years work experience in the specified topic area (Networks) to include all of the following:
- Networking Fundamentals
- Internet working with TCP/IP
- Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Modeling
- Network Protocols
- WAN/LAN Protocols Fundamentals
- Networking Communication Methods
- Digital/Telecommunications Convergence
- Network Topologies
- CISCO

- In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of applied, practical work experience, within the last ten (10) years, in Networks to include the specified topic areas listed above.
- Certification in either:
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

- Two (2) years experience, within the last three (3) years in preparing and presenting skills-based instruction to adults in the specified topic area to include facilitating student participation through role playing or operational simulations
- Formal, documented training in a web-based or distance-learning teaching technologies, to include on line forums and multimedia presentations (e.g., Centra, Blackboard, Questionmark, SumTotal)
