Description

The Coordinator of Customer Service and Outreach is responsible for contacting students (or receiving inquiries from students) concerning financial matters or specifically to their student account. This position reaches out to students at new student orientations and with administrative actions that pertain to student financial account status. This position works with internal department staff to improve customer service.

DUTIES

  1. Oversees customer service and handles escalated student issues
  2. Assists with student outreach and communications
  3. Serves as project coordinator for freshman and transfer orientations
  4. Serves as project coordinator for student financial literacy program
  5. Coordinates department continuous improvement program and assessment
  6. Processes administrative transactions impacting student financials (ATF's, drops, etc.)


MARGINAL DUTIES

  1. Assists with student phone inquiries and email inquiries
  2. Performs all other duties assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of how university student administration works
  • Basic knowledge of banner student system
  • Knowledge of MS office environment

 

Skills:

  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students

 

Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with college level audience


WORK LOCATION AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Primary Work Location: Works in an office environment

Physical Demands: Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements.

 

Position is physically comfortable; individual has discretion about sitting (80%) walking (5%), standing (15%), etc.

Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks.
