## Job Description

Key member of a design team who provides support for the conceptual design of the electrical infrastructure for the industries leading micro-lithography systems. The Connectivity Design Engineer provides knowledge and expertise to deliver electronic and electrical designs for realization and supports the entire design process from prototypes, through integration, test and introduction for volume manufacturing.

## Education

Bachelor of Science degree with major in any of the following: Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical & Computer Engineering.

## Experience

One to five years of electrical design experience including:

* Basic knowledge of wiring diagrams and schematic diagrams.
* Basic knowledge of ECAD design tools, with some experience using Mentor Graphics DX Designer, ORCad, PCad or similar ECAD s/w.
* Basic knowledge of electrical drafting best practices.
* Must be fully willing and capable of producing “Class A” engineering documentation.
* Desire to grow into position of task leadership & project planning.
* Desire to specify & design all aspects of electrical infrastructure including:
* Main power distribution panel boards, boxes and cabinets.
* AC and DC power distribution systems. Interconnect cables and harnessing.
* Electronic racks, cabinets and control consoles.
* Power supply selection and application.
* Electrical design aspects of printed circuit boards.
* Specify and design interface electronics, including analog, digital and programmable logic based circuit design.
* Basic knowledge of industry codes and standards such as the National Electric Code, NFPA 79 Machine Tool Standards, IPC standards.
* Ability to test & troubleshoot electrical & electronic systems to component level.
* Ability to support the integration & testing of electrical & electronic systems at the module, sub-system & system level.
* Ability to write test procedures, specifications and reports.
