SUMMARY

Drives Bralco truck to transport and deliver metal over established route, by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Drives truck to deliver metal goods.
  • Follows all State and Federal motor carrier regulations.
  • Wears seat belts and shoulder belts while operating truck.
  •  Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
  • Maintains driver log according to I.C.C. regulations
  • Assist worker in loading and unloading truck
  • Protects Material from weather by tarping
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, fire extinguisher before and after route.
  • Collects COD from customers, and records transactions on Bralco Metals order form.
  • Record delivery information on a daily delivery and pick up information on daily log.
  • Picks up Material Return Authorization
  • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pick up delivery.
  • Keeps truck clean inside and out

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three month's related experience or training or at manager's discretion.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employee or organization in English.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

CDL Driver's License required. (unexpired)
