SAIC has a contingent job opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to support Military Sealift Command (MSC). This position is contingent upon contract award and located in Virginia Beach, VA.

The Senior Business Analyst applies specific knowledge of MSC business processes to recommend new and modified requirements for portfolio applications, and recommend new application and data warehouse; work directly with end users to derive, refine and validate requirements.

Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages. Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components, and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed. Typical areas addressed include Human Resources, Finance, Supply, and operations. Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals. Generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization. Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, such as ERP implementations coordinating the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks. Commensurate experience and education.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's MIS, CS, Math or related
- Ten (10) years’ experience directly related to programmatic functions of which seven (7) related to the implementation and maintenance of management information systems and or software intensive systems. Education Requirement identified above can be used as contributing part of the general experience. PMP certification can be used as contributing part of the general experience.
- Shall have, within the general experience requirement, five (5) years specialized experience that includes: complete project development from inception to deployment, demonstrated ability to manage multi-task information systems development projects, and experience working within a PMO/CDA/IPT construct with emphasis on the functions they are qualifying as a SME. Specific experience may have been gained concurrently with General Experience.

Required Clearance:

- Must possess an active Secret clearance
