Job Description

The Associate Director, Generics Commercial Insight & Analytics will assist our research and analytics efforts to inform the US Generics Commercial Organization, as well as the Global Generics Portfolio team. This person will work closely with the leaders across these businesses and their teams to provide data analysis, competitive intelligence, market research, and reporting for critical decision making. This position will report to the Director Commercial insight and Analytics. Commercial Insight and Analytics is a part of the Global Marketing & Portfolio organization and is charged with ensuring that the current and future needs of and behaviors of customers drive strategic and brand development, corporate strategy and portfolio planning decisions.


The responsibilities of the Associate Director will include the following:

  • Lead Strategic and Tactical Insight across the US Generics commercial organization (Portfolio & New Products, New Product Launch, In Market Operations, Pricing, and Customer Operations)
    • Market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform generic pipeline selection
    • Insights and analytics to inform new product launch assumptions
    • Competitive intelligence to inform go to market strategy for launching new products
    • Reporting and competitive intelligence on key in market competitors to inform in-line product management decisions and planning
    • Pricing trends and analysis to inform pricing strategy
    • Macro trends to inform overall strategy and direction for Generics business
    • Liaise with Data Reporting and Analytics group to provide impactful and actionable standardized reporting for the US generics commercial organization
  • Lead strategic insight to support Global Generics Portfolio team across new technology/device evaluations, API screening and selection, and Global portfolio selection process.
    • Market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform global complex generic pipeline selection
    • Pipeline projections to inform API selection
    • Worldwide markets analysis of regional proposed generic products to inform Global Portfolio selection.
  • Work closely with European and International markets generics insight support to coordinate generic insight and analytics across global and the regions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, with 2+ years in a generic pharmaceutical company in commercial organization
  • Broad and diverse therapeutic category experience desired
  • Mastery of relevant forecasting, analytical, and market research concepts and frameworks

 

 

Business Skills:

  • Communication and presentation skills as evidenced through impactful senior management presentations, conference presentations, and/ or publications
  • Expert-level proficiency in Word, PPT and Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills
  • Excellent written and communications skills (written, oral, and PPT)
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills
