Graduation from an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant Studies program with a Masters degree in physician assistant studies or terminal degree in a related medical field

Required Related Experience

-Minimum of two years clinical experience
-Demonstrated multicultural understanding and experience interacting with diverse groups of people.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Current national certification as a Physician Assistant and eligibility to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences Department of Physician Assistant Studies is seeking a tenure track faculty member at rank determined by qualifications, to begin employment July 1, 2020.

Our well-established and nationally respected program offers an entry-level Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and enrolls 56 students annually on two campuses in Morehead and Lexington, KY. The program is accredited by the ARC-PA.

The candidate should display evidence of excellence in teaching to meet the mission of the program in the didactic and/or clinical components of the PAS curriculum as an instructor and course director. Participation in scholarly activities is expected and supported, along with university service activities. The successful candidate may also participate in clinical practice (up to 20% of effort) to provide direct evidence-based patient care as a licensed PA-C in a clinical setting.
