The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.


This position will be filled by a recognized AGILE development expert, who designs, researches and develops highly advanced applications supporting transformation of customer architectures and systems. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12 - 15 yrs of experience or a Master's with 10 - 13 yrs of experience. Facilitate daily Scrum meetings and regular ceremonies, collect Agile & analyze related metrics for trends and indicators, facilitate iteration/increment planning, provide Agile coaching and mentoring at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities include:

Provide effective leadership of Scrum teams and Agile processes
Mentor team members on Agile methods and best practices
Work with Scrum teams and customer management to ensure that the principles of the Scrum methodology are protected
Facilitate communication and collaboration within and around the team (release & sprint planning, user stories, backlog grooming, Agile testing, etc.)
Identify and remove organization and team impediments and help resolve issues and conflicts -- Shield the team from external interference
Conduct Agile planning meetings, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Report on project velocity, risks, roadblocks, sprint burn-down and project release status
Promote continuous improvement, help teams to increase productivity, and foster innovation
Maintain product knowledge to increase efficiency in delivery of all product deliverables
Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization
Effectively communicate relevant project information to team members and stakeholders
Uses independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions

Must have experience as a scrum master in a previous role, or have a scrum master certification such as Certified Scrum Master (or similar relatable experience - i.e. (Professional Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Practitioner, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, etc.)



  • BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to gain SECRET DOD clearance
  • Certification in one or more of these designations is desired: Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum at Scale Practitioner, Certified Agile Coach, Certified facilitator, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Trainer, and Project Management Professional (PMP)


  • Familiarity with space-related programs, technologies and missions
  • Familiarity with cyber development programs
  • Experience with SW development tools to include task tracking, software repositories, continuous integration and automation
  • Familiarity or experience with UML or SYSML
  • Experience implementing Agile principles and practices within DoD or Federal government environments
  • Effective communicator, capable of effectively translating and presenting complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical management and customers, through presentations and written media
