Job Description:

Advanced role in the development, management, and planning for current and future capabilities as it relates to the BMDS, specifically related to the performance and threat portion of the system.

-
Review, analyze, and make recommendations on BMDS performance requirements development, additions, variances, threat allocations, and changes as well as provide quality checks on analysis, documents, engineering notebooks, and presentations related to this area.

-
Support the Technical Baseline through engineering analysis, document development, presentations, change requests, and follow the process for inclusion onto the baseline.

-
Develop and mentor basic and intermediate personnel.

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and (14) years or more experience

Required Skills:

-
Previous systems engineering experience at the system of system level.

-
Knowledge of the BMDS nomenclature, system architecture, threats, and subsystems.

-
Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

-
Excellent people, organizational, management, computer, and leadership skills.

-
Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

-
Experience with interacting and supporting high level government customers (director level and above) and between organizations in support of the agency's goals.

-
Knowledge of the various subsystems of MDA such as sensors, THAAD, and GMD.

-
Familiarity with the history of threats as well as current and future threat designs, functionality, performance, countermeasures, and ability to defend against these threats.

Desired Skills:

-
Understanding of MDA Systems Engineering practices and processes.

-
Familiarity with the BMDS system level documentation such as the BMD System Description Document and BMD System Specification.

-
Familiarity with engineering change notices, specification change notices, and document change notices.

-
Ability to write and analyze requirements.

Clearance Requirement:

Must currently possess or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
