General Office Support

  • In consultation with the East Wheelock Faculty director and others, plans and develops programs furthering the East Wheelock Program mission.
  • With minimal supervision, coordinates event schedules and logistical details, including scheduling, event promotion and publicity, invitations, catering, and other aspects of event management as assigned. Includes keeping updated email lists of East Wheelock students and others who are interested in hearing about events.
  • Presides in the East Wheelock Office to answer questions and create a welcoming atmosphere in the central office.
  • Contributes to continuous program and event assessment by preparing student surveys and, in coordination with the Director, collecting and maintaining records of student attendance at all programs related to East Wheelock.
  • Serves as liaison to other campus centers, programs and departments (e.g. Hopkins Center, Montgomery Endowment) to coordinate event scheduling and activities.
  • Maintains East Wheelock program website, Google program calendar and social media sites or other online marketing tools for East Wheelock residents, and for publicity and outreach purposes.
  • Drafts and edits related correspondence and reports for the Faculty Associate and the rest of the East Wheelock Program Leadership Team.
  • Researches and prepares presentation information on East Wheelock Program guests and activities.
  • Represents the East Wheelock Program effectively to East Wheelock residents, other students, alumni, faculty, administrators, community members, and prospective students.
